The WildlandsDraw a virtual straight line that extends from Muskegon on the west coast all the way across to Saginaw on the east and that marks the border to the northen wild lands. This area of awakened land covers the top half of the lower penninsula and all of the northern penninsula. The UCAS government had attempted to reclaim some of the land when the Awakening started, but soon they realized that their battle was futile and resigned to letting the change happen. In a bold political stroke, UCAS placed provincial control of the Wildlands into the hands of UCAS supportive Native Americans. Since the Awakening, the Amerind casinos and resorts scattered throughout the Michigan Wildlands are as popular as those in Atlantic City, Vale, and Vegas. Also within the dense forests and fields of the Wildlands are government protected awakened creatures unique to the area. These rare beasts roam freely within the borders and intentional harm brought to them is a federal offense. |
