RadTech SenseSmart StreetBoards

This radical new design of an old recreational tool has sparked a new age in personal enjoyment and transportation. From the latter half of the 20th century comes the skateboard; except now it has a new twist. The common wooden or fiberglass deck has been replaced with a VariFlex carbon filament board, the axles have been replaced with DuraSteel high strength axles, but the biggest enhancement come with the SmartSense wheel and terrain handling system.

The wheels are composed of hundreds of adjustable flex rods. These rods move in or out depending on the roughness of the terrain they are traveling upon, making it easier to move across terrain that would otherwise be too rough to traverse.

Embedded in a compartment under the rear axle is a dogbrain computer that adjusts the lengths of the wheels and controls suspension to ensure as smooth a ride as possible. The wheels can adjust up to 3/4 of an inch upon contact with increased or decreased elevations, which provides for less bumpiness and increased control on both uneven terrain and alternating gradients.
RadTech offers the StreetBoards in a wide variety of sizes and styles. All boards may be enhanced with optional accessories.
Basic StreetBoard 500¥ This is the basic board with standard tires, DuraSteel axles, 1 standard battery pack, and 1 standard charger.
RoadRunner Tires 50¥ These tires have a narrower wheelbase for faster top speeds and quicker maneuvering around tight corners. The quality of the ride is a little bumpier but the top speeds are increased.
Standard Tires 25¥ Standard replacement tires.
DuraSteel Standard Axles 50¥ Standard replacement axles.
DuraSteel Performance Axles 85¥ For heavier workload and rougher conditions, it is recommended to upgrade to these axles to prevent future problems due to excess stress on the axle assembly.
SenseSmart Control Unit 165¥ Replacement control unit.
SmartLites 40¥ A full set of front and side marker lights that mount on the underside of the StreetBoards.
Trakker 150¥ A simple but effective tracking unit used to track service and stolen boards. A common accessory for boards used in courier services.
Transponder Unit 150¥ This transceiver receives remote access signals from checkpoints, toll booths, and law enforcement ID requestors and returns the appropriate information. This is widely used in metropolitan areas that have neighborhood checkmarks requiring access information to track visitors.
Control Unit Signal Filter 135¥ The signal filter helps to eliminate unwanted signals such as those emitted by Havok generators and high interference RF sources, providing for less chance of control system shutdown.
Standard Battery Pack 50¥ This battery pack is the standard unit that supplies up to 12 hours of standard use before recharge. Overall life of the standard battery pack is 2 years.
IonCell Battery Pack 80¥ This battery pack is recommended for long term use or on boards with extra accessories. With straight non-accessorized use, it will provide up to 18 hours of standard use. With extra accessories, it will provide up to 12 hours of standard use. Overall life of the IonCell battery pack is 2.5 years.
Standard Battery Charger 100¥ This charger will charge either the standard battery pack or the IonCell long life battery pack in 8 hours.
QuickCharge Battery Charger 150¥ This charger will charge either the standard battery pack or the IonCell long life battery pack in 4 hours. This charger will, however, decrease overall life of batteries by 10%.

LESS THAN LEGAL OPTIONS
Cutters 225¥ These retractable blades attach under the side of the board and release via a toe activated switch. They have a 12" total extension. They are commonly found in Combat Board competitions.
Hacked Transponder Unit 450¥ Of course, with the needs for stealth comes a way to send falsified transponder information upon request.
SmartSense Havok 350¥ A small device used to bring chaos to SmartSense StreetBoards. Definately not endorsed by RadTech, these signal sources cause erratic behavior in the terrain handling system causing lock ups and uncontrollable conditions. This is not a direct attachment to the board, but a pocket sized transmitter.
Control Unit Signal Jammer 500¥ This is actually a modified version of the Signal Filter. The modifications allow for selective filtering of certain frequencies including those used by the authorities for ID request stations.
Harpoon 250¥ This street variation is used frequently by 'boarders that want to get free rides over long distances. It consists of a tethered harpoon with a suction device on the striking end. The shaft is attached to the launcher with a 15 foot long high tensile fiber cable. It is often fired at the rear of vehicles and the 'boarder rides that vehicle until he/she drops suction and releases the harpoon. The cable then springs back onto the reel to be fired again later.
